The creation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is linked to the Marshall Plan. Following the Second World War and the economic ravages it entailed, the creation of an organization aiming to rebuild the European economies in the long term was paramount. Today it is a forum hosting 30 market democracies, representing 75% of world trade, and working together to address the economic, social and governance issues related to our economy. It also ensures an ethical and healthy line of conduct in the development of these economies.

From 3 November 2016 to 12 February 2017, the “Anatomy of a collection” exhibition will be extended and will become “Anatomy of a collection – Part II” with a new display.

From the emperors of China – great intercessors between Heaven and 4 Earth -, who considered it a natural jewel, up to Cartier and the leading London and New York jewellers who sublimated it in the 20th century in the Art Déco creations inspired by the Chinese taste, jade remains this eternal and mythical stone, an object of fascination and absolute power for the sovereign.

Week-enf of September 17th & 18th

Every summer, Opéra en plein air, or Open Air Opera, offers everyone the chance to relax and enjoy live opera outdoors. A well-known director puts on a great opera from the classical repertoire. This is then performed in open air settings, at prestigious sites such as the Hôtel National des Invalides in the centre of Paris.
